Dear Selize,

It's been a while since I did a letter like this. I thought maybe it was time to do another one. I was in the mood. Right now I'm sitting in the evening sun, in a nice chair on the balcony. There's some scotch I got gifted that tastes fine but not amazing. I overlook some grass fields. They have flowers.

The project I've told you about is coming along quite well. I still make most of my money from the job at the cafe here of course, but I will get paid for it and that's nice. I've done my research and already written most of it. The plan is to work on it again tomorrow. I decided to take a break for tonight.

I will forever be thankful of Toby for referring me to this place. Though, I suppose I can say that it finally makes up for that horrid roommate he put me up first. Maybe he balanced the scales. I'm very glad for it, and glad for your part in it also.

You're leaving for Brazil again in two weeks right? I saw there was some article written about the project you're doing. You do good work, as always. I think I can say I've been working hard too. Maybe I'll save up to visit Côte d'Azur sometime. That would be fun. Someone I know from the cafe here also wanted to go.

I assume you haven't yet heard unless Toby told you, but Mitch got engaged. I'm of the opinion that it's all moving a little quick, but it's his life. I think they want to marry sometime late summer. I've met her once, she was pretty nice.

Occasionally I see Ivy walking around. She somehow ended up in the same place by coincidence. I don't think she lives here, just visits. She was in the cafe yesterday. It was nice catching up. (For no reason at all, you don't happen to know if she's single, do you?)

I'm looking forward to receiving another postcard from you. I should start a collection at this point. You can find my address on the return part of this envelope. Please let me know how your work is going, as well as the project. I'll tell you more about mine later. I think you'll find it interesting.

With this letter I will also send two paintings I did of the Irish countryside. If you can, would you give one of them to Toby for me the next time you two meet? I appreciate it.

I'll see you around,

Marco
